Hotel operations run on fragmented data

Hotel General Managers and Revenue Managers are expected to track occupancy, average daily rate, and RevPAR across multiple properties — but most teams juggle spreadsheets, PMS exports, and WhatsApp messages to get a daily picture. By the time a revenue problem surfaces, it's too late to act on it.

Shreem Technologies approached this as a product design problem: build a unified intelligence layer that sits on top of any PMS and gives operations teams real-time visibility and actionable alerts — without replacing their existing systems.

Four decisions that shaped the product

Split-panel sign-in

The login screen uses a dark brand panel on the left and a minimal form on the right. The brand panel communicates the platform's value proposition at a glance — reducing first-time-user anxiety without onboarding flows or tooltips.

ADR · RevPAR · Occupancy above the fold

The three metrics a Revenue Manager checks every morning are the first things they see on the dashboard — no navigation, no loading. Supporting charts sit below for depth, not above for noise.

AI alerts are proactive, not reactive

Rather than surfacing data for users to interpret, the AI task engine pushes specific, role-addressed alerts: "Room 214 checkout missed — flag for housekeeping." Actions are pre-formed so staff can respond in one tap.

Dark palette as a deliberate signal

The dark `#080B12` background with orange accents is not purely aesthetic — it visually separates RevGuard from the off-white PMS interfaces staff use all day, signalling a shift from data-entry to decision-making mode.

Design rationale

Why dark-first for a hospitality product?

  • Hotel front-desk environments are high-ambient-light — dark backgrounds reduce glare on wall-mounted displays and shared screens.
  • Revenue dashboards are often reviewed in dimmed conference rooms during morning briefings — dark mode reduces eye strain in those sessions.
  • Visual separation from PMS interfaces (typically white) helps staff context-switch instantly into "decision mode."

Two screens, one coherent flow

Each screen maps directly to a moment in the revenue manager's morning: authenticate → assess → act. Built as fully functional HTML to enable immediate developer handoff.

Authentication — Sign-in & recovery flow

Split-panel layout with SSO support, password recovery, OTP verification, and a privacy policy modal. The brand panel anchors the product identity on first contact; the form stays minimal to reduce friction for returning daily users.

Revenue Dashboard — Live operations command centre

ADR, RevPAR, and Occupancy sit at the top — no interaction required to reach them. AI task alerts appear in a persistent panel on the right, addressed to specific roles. Multi-property switcher stays in the header for GMs managing more than one site.
